The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony

The ceremony is held in front of the Cenotaph for the A-bomb victims to remember those who lost their lives in the nuclear attack and to pray for world peace. The Mayor of Hiroshima delivers a Peace Declaration.

At 8:15 a.m., the time the atomic bomb was dropped, the Peace Bell is rung, sirens sound and there is a one minute silence.
